Credit Saison has debuted “Credit Saison’s Rent Guarantee — Foreign National Plan”, a rental protection program designed especially for international people residing in Japan. This has been created to meet the demands of the growing population of foreign students and employees. Furthermore, building on the capital and corporate alliance with The Suruga Bank revealed in May of this year, Credit Saison shall offer the ordinary saving accounts of Suruga Bank to the patrons of this service to aid foreign nationals in their daily lives. Expectations of a decreasing labor force have prompted Japan to make major changes to the environment of foreign nationals in order to foster sustainable growth and bolster industry competition. This includes welcoming foreign students and reassessing the existing residence system. Nevertheless, when seeking to reside in Japan, there are often problems experienced related to language, culture, the need for a guarantor, and setting up a bank account to cover rent costs; all of these matters can impede the search for housing. Given this, Credit Saison, with its cultivated knowledge of rent guarantee services, will join forces with The Suruga Bank, which works to secure access to financial services for everyone. Foreign nationals who want to open an account to be able to withdraw rent guarantee fees may take advantage of Credit Saison's "bank accounts only for foreign national customers" supplied by The Suruga Bank. Deposit accounts geared towards foreign nationals can be used for salary transfers, payment of utility bills, and other banking services. These accounts are intended for foreign nationals unable to open an account at a regular bank due to their residence status. Applications can be made quickly and easily via smartphone. To achieve the medium-term business vision of transitioning into a comprehensive lifestyle service group, Credit Saison will strive to improve services that provide foreign nationals with assistance to tackle their difficulties and ensure their secure and fulfilling lives in Japan.
