Eleven fintech start-ups shortlisted to compete were present at the third regional finals of the Fintech World Cup, which was organized by the Dubai Fintech Summit with support from Trescon, at the DATE Fintech Show. The event was in collaboration with the DATE AI Show and offered participants the opportunity to present their ideas at the grand finale, with a potential $1 million in funding available for the winner.

Ian Arden (CEO, Mempool Ventures), Stefan Kimmel (CEO, M2) and Monica Brand Engel (CEO, Quona Capital) were the panellists and they discussed investor protection, financial solidity and AML/CFT conformity.
A session of particular note tackled the topic 'Empowerment Personified: Fintech’s Impact on Women-led Enterprises.' Presenter of Business News at Al Arabiya, Nouf Hijazi, who directed the conversation, discussed how women are advocating for equality in the tech area. The panel consisted of Emon Shakoor, CEO of Blossom MENA; Sonia Shaw, Partner & Vice President of Global Partnerships at CoinW; and Elina Idrisova, Regional Director at Elevatus. They shared inspiring ideas in favour of empowering women in the field of fintech to spur necessary change.
