Recently, web hosting companies were offering massive discounts with domain names and hosting services going for as little as 99% off. I have been searching for a domain name to host my business online, and I recently discovered this cyber sale. After looking at the different hosting companies - namecheap.com, GoDaddy.com, hostinger.com, and bluehost.com - I spent a long time going through and comparing the plans they offered. In the end, I opted for the namecheap.com domain name. I was getting this domain at a bargain. I rushed to open an account with namecheap.com, put the domain name in my basket, used the cyber sale coupon, and paid for my purchase. My pulse quickened as I went through the procedure; it was remarkable to me that I could secure the domain name I wanted for a mere $10. A catastrophe hit, with the distressing news glaring before me: "Your card has been rejected." I attempted to handle this transaction with my First Bank of Nigeria naira card, however it was not successful. I quickly snagged my wallet, cracked it open, yanked out my UBA bank naira card, filled in the info, and submitted it while I clutched my breath, mouthing up a prayer. After a short time, the red alert flashed: “Your card was not accepted.” I was disheartened. "Will I pass up this opportunity?" I recollected that I had an Access Bank Naira Card and, rummaging through my wallet a second time, I unearthed it. Submitting the details, I was still confronted with the same red notification: “Your card has been declined.” I was so frustrated that I angrily closed my laptop and went to take a nap. Despite the setbacks, I persevered and reached out to my network. I asked around to see if anyone had a dollar card, though none of them did. I asked my friend on WhatsApp and he said no, but he was able to get one through Grey.co virtual card. I was unsure of how that was possible, so I inquired further. Then, it came to me that I had a gray account. Upon logging in, I realized it was still intact despite my not having utilized it. By choosing a grey account, Grey grants you a USD, GBP, and Naira account. I had no money in any of these accounts. What do I do now? I went back on WhatsApp and messaged my friend for help. He suggested I deposit some money in my naira account and then exchange it for USD. I went back to the grey app, clicked on my Naira account, selected 'Deposit to Account', chose the payment channel, and opted for a deposit from FirstBank. I was then prompted to input my First Bank mpin, of which I had no knowledge. After searching on Google, I opened my FirstBank app and clicked on the mpin option. There I saw three selections: change mpin, current mpin, and new mpin. Following this, I was asked to confirm the new mpin. I came here to obtain my mpin, yet I was inquisitively requested what my existing mpin was. Subsequently, I logged out, came back to the Grey app, and selected the payment channel. This time, I selected a deposit from Opay. I was instructed to sign in, so I entered my Opay number and the 6-digit login code; however, I was unsuccessful in doing so. Subsequently, I aborted the transaction, returned to my drab dashboard, and photocopied my pale Naira account. It was now an opportunity to try something new. I logged into my Opay app, went to the transfer tab, and inputted my Grey Naira account information. Unsure if this would work, I decided to trial it by sending 100 Naira to my Grey Naira account. Opay showed that my transaction went through; nevertheless, I waited for two minutes before going back to the Grey app to find my 100 Naira still where I had left it. I was delighted! In a hurry, I opened my Opay app and tapped the Flash Super-speed button. I then inputted the sum, and it was transferred to my grey Naira account in no time. After logging in to my grey account, I discovered my money and promptly clicked on convert, thereby converting my naira into USD in a few seconds. I selected Virtual card, followed the application instructions, and was assessed a fee of $5. $4 of this was for the virtual card itself, with $1 being put into the virtual card. I felt an immense relief! Almost to the end. I put the remainder of the US Dollars onto my grey online banking card, and the exchange was completed successfully. I went back to namecheap.com, reloaded my browser tab, logged in, went to my cart, went on to the checkout, entered my grey virtual dollar card details, clicked submit, waited anxiously while it was processing, and inwardly wished for the best. Upon seeing the message “Your purchase was successful.”, I was so excited that I couldn’t contain myself and burst into jubilation, as if I had just won a trophy. I was able to take advantage of Cyber Week sales thanks to the Grey.co virtual MasterCard. Many thanks to Grey! I'm grateful to Opay for their assistance.
